Balenciaga x Bang & Olufsen introduce Speaker Bag

The French luxury fashion house announced their collaboration with the Danish high-end audio product development company launching the Speaker Bag. During Balenciaga’s 51st Couture show in Paris, they showcased this product for the first time. This time Balenciaga did the show differently as the music, supporting the fashion show, came out of this bag. We have seen fashion and music collaborate on various different fronts but this one is surely one of its kind.

The ‘Haute Couture HI-FI’ bag gives a unique identity to portable music as it’s suitable for casual and chic occasions. Whether you’re on the street, at home, or at a luxurious party the Speaker Bag can be taken anywhere. Bang & Olufsen quoted: ‘We believe that people should be able to tailor their sound system to match their exact sonic and aesthetic preferences, without ever compromising on sound quality.’ On the other hand, Balenciaga’s iconic bags are being re-shaped for a more robust appearance.

Olufsen’s aluminum factory is crafting the bag’s housing followed by a range of processes including pearl-blasting, anodization, and hand-polishing. Included within is the powerful portable speaker, that holds on to 18 hours of battery life, multipoint connectivity, and a hand-wrapped Italian lambskin leather storage compartment.

As the bag is limited edition, you’ll only be able to buy it at a few Balenciaga boutiques or at their Paris Couture show. No exact price is known yet. Have a look here.
