Kicking off his 2016 campaign with a bang, Dutch superstar Hardwell released a free track called “Blackout” on his birthday in January. The much-praised release brought the two-time #1 DJ to a hot start this year and shortly after, the fire still kept burning with his next single “Hollywood” alongside fellow producer Afrojack. Recently peaking at #1 on the Beatport charts, the success of the track is evident as we would expect from two of the industry’s biggest heavyweights.
Carrying the momentum from his last two singles, Hardwell is now set to release one of the most highly anticipated tracks from his live sets last year. First played at Electric Daisy Carnival United Kingdom, this massive tune has been slaying the mainstage of the world’s biggest festivals for several months now. After its prosperous crowd-testing phase, Hardwell finally premiered his second collaboration with Dutch singer Jake Reese titled “Run Wild” on ‘Hardwell on Air 255’.
Following an astonishing performance for his first track with Hardwell called “Mad World”, Reese’s vocals stand out once again with this new, upcoming release. With their second go-around, it just seems that Hardwell and Jake Reese establish an unstoppable tag team. The mesh between the stunning vocals and instrumentals are simply impeccable, resulting into a major home run for the two Dutch artists.
Consisting of Hardwell’s signature progressions, “Run Wild” captivates its listeners with its well-designed melodies and staggering synths. The track keeps a steady delivery of high-octane energy from start to finish, especially during the two towering drops. With its hard-hitting kicks and heavily pulsating basslines, the track’s thunderous big room sounds will certainly get the crowd’s hearts pumping and feet moving, which has already been proven at prominent festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival Europe.
Overall, “Run Wild” keeps the bar high for Hardwell this year as he seeks to dominate the scene with his ongoing production of first-rate music. Set to be released on his label Revealed Recordings, the track will be out on February 29th on Beatport and on March 4th on iTunes and Spotify so be sure to grab a copy.
