Spotify are looking at Obama for new job listing

Music streaming giant, Spotify have a very peculiar job opening and it’s clearly targeted to one person. If you’re looking to sign up, Spotify needs your CV to include “8 years of experience running a nation”, “Have good relationships with a wide range of artists and musicians”, “one of the greatest speakers of all time” amongst other such attributes. The position in question is the “President of Playlists“. In all likelyhood, there’s only person that could match these requirements and it’s got to be President Barack Obama.

Spotify are known for their top tier marketing campaigns and this unsual one could definitely top the list. Obama has previously curated a playlist on the platform and has not disappointed. He managed to create a set containing tunes which have both charateristics of classical and urban music.

The company also took the job posting as an opportunity to display their political and moral beliefs.

“It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, what you look like, or what music you love. We believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and background, lead to a better environment for everyone. We value this and encourage you to come be a part of changing the way the world listens to music.“
