Home Uncategorized Drumcode announces Layton Giordani album with teaser track ‘Good Violence’

Now in its second decade, with a steady stream of the most forward thinking and cutting edge techno productions, Drumcode has one of the biggest selections of releases from industry heavy hitters, establishing itself as one of music’s most respected brands. All of this whilst not forgetting its future by bringing the newest talented producers into the limelight, where Layton Giordani is now a name firmly within that line up.

The New York born producer, who now bases himself around Europe, first earned critical recognition back in 2014, and his debut release came via Drumcode with his track “Rivington” on the A-Sides Vol5 compilation in 2016. Full force into 2017, Drumcode has now announced the highly exciting release of Layton’s debut album “Where It Begins”, set for release on 27th February. Consisting of 12 original tracks, the album certainly packs a punch when it comes to top quality no-nonsense techno.

Successfully weaving relentless drums and catchy vocal hooks into a selection of thick, brooding, atmospheric tracks, this is most certainly a release to get excited for. And teasing us with a sample, Drumcode have released “Good Violence.” Thumping from the get-go in true Drumcode fashion, this track is a pure dance floor destroyer. Laced in some heavy low end power, vibrant slapping percussion and a deep, murky hypnotic synth pad to build up that late night tension just right.

After a year long residency at Output, playing with some of the biggest names in the industry, Layton has also had a stream of noted releases on Phobiq, Intec, and Trusoul, and it is clear that the producer has been learning from the very best with this release. Take a moment to check out ‘Good Violence’ below, a deep moody anthem that sets the tone perfectly for the rest of this stunning album.
