The announcements just keep coming for Hï Ibiza, with the latest perhaps the most exciting so far. Having already revealed residencies for the likes of Martin Garrix, Eric Prydz, and Black Coffee, their latest unveiling sees Dutch legend Armin van Buuren join the venue for a mammoth residency this coming summer.  As the debut season draws ever closer for the club, it is clear the venue formerly known as Space is planning huge things, with Ibiza 2017 shaping up to be the craziest summer in Balearic history.

For more than two decades, Armin van Buuren has been a global ambassador for trance, and is widely recognised as one of the biggest DJs in the world, placing an incredible five times in the number one position of the critically acclaimed DJ Mag Top 100 poll. This latest announcement looks very much like a key moment in recent Ibiza history, with thousands of trance fans now expected to head to Hï Ibiza to explore the brand new club this season.

The GRAMMY-nominated artist is also no stranger to the White Isle, having held numerous residencies there over the past 12 years, including for his highly successful A State Of Trance party at Ushuaïa Ibiza in 2014 and 2015 where he captivated clubbers each week with his seamless and inspired selections. With Hï Ibiza owned by the Ushuaïa Entertainment group, the announcement is perhaps not a huge surprise, but marks a massive new concept for Armin Van Buuren, as he debuts his ‘U R‘ nights at the club for 13 consecutive weeks.

The Dutchman couldn’t contain his excitement at the news, adding:

“I’m looking forward to bringing my new concept U R to Hï Ibiza this summer. Ibiza is my favourite place in the world and I’m super excited to build a completely new home for myself. After being a resident for more than 12 years, it feels great to have this new challenge in a brand new club!”

Armin will be live at Hï every Wednesday between 21st June and 13th September so grab your tickets on the official Hï Ibiza website and make sure ‘U R‘ a part of this huge party!
