Having recently reached the incredible milestone of 1 billion YouTube streams for his breakthrough anthem ‘Faded’, as well as announcing he will be supporting Justin Bieber around his tour of Indian, Alan Walker carries on the positive momentum with his official remix for Bruno Mars’ latest hit “That’s What I Like”. The Norwegian had previously dropped a couple of remixes for Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend” and Cash Cash & Digital Farm Animals’ “Millionaire”, and he returns to remix duties for another worthy pop star. Released this week, the track has caught the attention of fans since Walker played snippets of it in a recent Snapchat story.
Featuring his signature sound and energy, the hooded producer puts a more club-friendly sound to Bruno’s popular original. Melodic and euphoric, the drop has more of a trap influence than some of Walker’s previous work, yet there is no denying the high standard of production that has become a theme throughout his music. The Norwegian has turned what was already a feel-good track into an uplifting dance floor filler which you can expect to hear plenty of throughout the summer months.
