Through a surprise announcement on his social media accounts, Don Diablo has revealed that he will be making his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix debut on the 15th of April. In his announcement, he cited some of his inspirations, Daft Punk, Fatboy Slim and Carl Cox, all of which have had their own Essential Mixes over the years, and it seems that the future house superstar is set to follow in their footsteps, inspiring a generation of dance music fans.

2017 has certainly been an impressive year so far for Don Diablo, his recent collaboration with MarnikChildren of a Miracle‘ soaring to success with strong support from fans. With plenty of new music on the way, including a VIP mix of ‘Children of a Miracle’ which is set to drop this Friday, as well as plenty live performances planned across the world this summer, it looks like this year could be Don Diablo’s best yet.

The Essential Mix will be aired on BBC Radio 1 this Saturday 15th April between the hours of 04:00-0600AM (GMT), and is set to feature over 70 tracks spanning Don Diablo’s impressive career.
