Superstar DJ Steve Aoki just released some enormous news as he is setting up for a summer takeover. His new full length album entitled “Kolony” will be coming on July 21st and features a slew of some of the biggest names in the rap music world. Aoki has been known to collaborate with artists all over the spectrum from Louis Tomlinson to Lil Jon to Linkin Park so a rap-inspired album comes as no surprise for the Dim Mak founder.
The ten-track project includes artists such as Migos, Lil Yachty, Wale, T-Pain and Lil Uzi Vert and has already been supported with two singles. The first was “Without U,” produced with DVBBS and featuring 2 Chainz and the second is a collaboration with Migos and Lil Yachty titled “Night Call” that just dropped over the weekend.
In addition to the rappers that will provide vocals for the tracks, Aoki had some assistance in the production of the project as well. Artists such as DVBBS, Yellow Claw and Bad Royale are among the producers that were credited in crafting the album alongside Steve Aoki. The aforementioned two singles have definitely stepped away from Aoki’s typical electro-influenced style so it will be interesting to see if the rest of the album follows suit.
Pre-order “Kolony” here and be sure to check back here next month when the album is released.
