Earlier this week, singer and songwriter Poo Bear announced on Twitter that his new collaboration with Skrillex would be dropping on Wednesday, July 26. With no official word from Skrillex himself or any other source, fans were rightfully skeptical of this news.
However, “Would You Ever” was released in its entirety to the Internet early Wednesday and it is unbelievable. Skrillex has been reportedly working with a range of artists such as Jennifer Lopez, G-Eazy, and Fifth Harmony although no collaborations have seen the light of day so far so it is refreshing to see him drop some new music.
The track marks the first official single from Poo Bear and his second time collaborating with Skrillex as they previously worked on “Where Are Ü Now” with Diplo and Justin Bieber back in 2015. Poo Bear has notably worked with the Canadian superstar over the years writing some of his biggest hits including the recently released “2U” with David Guetta.
“Would You Ever” is an absolute summer smash and features a slightly different sound than the head-banging style that most fans are used to from Skrillex. Featuring a heavy house beat combined with Poo Bear’s chopped up vocals, the single is just as catchy as you could possibly imagine.
The music video has already amassed over a million views in about 24 hours so it is destined to top the charts throughout the upcoming months and will become a staple in countless DJ sets.
