California-based producer AL Sharif returns with Frank Nitty to combine forces and deliver an infectious, Latin-inspired groove/house track titled ‘The Iberian‘ on Staar Traax. The track is driven by a gorgeous trumpet, South American-inspired percussion, and a thumping kick that will have dancefloors filled in an instant.
Sharif caught the world’s attention with funky tracks such as ‘Funk You‘ and ‘Latino‘ with Erick T. Since then, he has had releases on Zensa Records, and features on Groove Basement, We Rave You, and Groove Cartel. Sharif amassed an impressive resume, with support from Dada Life, W&W, Promise Land, Club Banditz, and Ummet Ozcan.
Having been released on Tom Staar‘s label, Staar Traxx, ‘The Iberian’ has a Mariachi feel and is intertwined with the label’s signature bounce and swing, that has defined its iconic sound. Although the drops are the main attraction, the break and buildup are what make the track so great. The duo excellently uses reverb, strings, and claps to help the track’s ascension into what is a contagious drop.
