Undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the house and techno scene, Danish native Kölsch has been giving fans a flavour of his dance floor weapons with each new episode of his BBC Radio 1 Residency since he joined the shows’ roster back in Summer 2016. Promising to treat fans to the most amazing music he can dig up, so far Kölsch has kept to his word. This week he is back with another fresh installment, and once again he does not disappoint.

Filled with hits from both past and present, the journey kicks off with Tomas Barfod’s ‘Things That Matter’, before the house vibes really take over courtesy of Pale Blue’s atmospheric ‘Journey Into Light’. With some welcomed throwbacks also added to create a sense of nostalgia, Soul II Soul’s classic ‘Back To Life’ is a welcomed surprise, before the journey comes to a close with Thomas Newman’s ‘Ghosts’. Crafted into the overall atmosphere, the 2 hour mix is a credit to Kölsch’s skill, technique and taste. Jammed packed full of quality content, it is fair to say topping the Dane’s form at the moment takes some doing!
