Marshmello’s hit single “Alone” goes platinum

Marshmello has made a huge impact on the dance music scene throughout his career, with his unique style quickly garnering a huge army of fans. His success quickly spiraled in truly impressive fashion, and two years later his hit record ‘Alone‘ which was released on Monstercat in May 2016 has just gone platinum.

‘Alone’ was released in 2016, and no doubt formed part of the momentum behind Marshmello rocketing to success so quickly. The track is both euphoric and carries a degree of emotion, which comes through in the melodic vocals. It received a positive reception worldwide, and the music video has now reached over 137 million views on YouTube, providing further proof that the release is a fan-favourite.

The announcement was made by Monstercat CEO Mike Darlington, who took to Twitter to share his pride for the label’s first platinum release. Having seen the release of a number of diverse yet exceptional tracks, the Canadian label has built an impressive discography since it was founded in 2011. With high-profile artists such as Marshmello, Vicetone, Gareth Emery, Slushii, NERVO, and Timmy Trumpet having released on the label, Monstercat is without doubt one of the most impressive platforms in the industry.
