Like Mike – Memories

A renowned artist in his own right, Like Mike has surprised fans with the giveaway of a solo record – ‘Memories’. Making up one half of heavyweight electronic duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the Belgian artist has had a busy schedule touring and hitting the studio as of late, as they prepare fresh new music for a cluster of forthcoming singles with his brother that will be sure to be become highlights of their upcoming sets. However, during his time off from DV&LM duties Mike has also put his creative touches to a selection of personal tracks that see him explore new sounds and genres.

Interestingly, Like Mike has followed in the footsteps of The Chainsmokers by singing on his own solo productions, as he provides an emotional topline at the centre of this deep pensive house record. This stems from Mike’s previous experience of MCing most of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s shows and standout track such as the collaboration with Ne-Yo on ‘Higher Place’ in 2015. And while the track may not be something you should expect to hear throughout the summer festival season, it certainly shows a deeper side to one of dance music’s most renowned characters.
