Home Music House W&W – “The One” Receives It’s Radio Premiere

House and Trance duo W&W have a reputation for being hard-hitting, drop-dropping hit makers of late, with “Bigfoot”, “Jumper” and most recently “Bowser” with Blasterjaxx, bringing their established big-room sound. However, their latest single begs to differ, with a refreshing return to their trance and progressive roots.

Their progressive house smash, “The One”, received its world premiere on A State of Trance Episode 718, surprising even Armin van Buuren. Sampling Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know”, an unpredictable and bold move by the Dutch pair. With an echoed and masculine adaption, the sample is cut and constructed to form an introductory instrumental layer, raising the tempo towards its anthemic kick and blissful melody overlaid with the alternative take on Houston’s timeless vocals.

Rigid Audio Black Friday

Destined to become one of the soundtracks of this summer, W&W have just thrown a spanner in the works for their fans, yet we somehow doubt they will be left disappointed. If anything happily surprised. With the festival season upon us, there is little doubt this new song will be featured in many of their sets to come – not a bad thing at all.
