10 Essential Items You Need For Tomorrowland 2015
The biggest event on the EDM festival calendar is almost upon us. For those of us lucky enough to get our hands on tickets, here are some essential items that you should definitely bring with you in order to have the ultimate festival experience!
1 – Flag
Tomorrowland welcomes music fans from over 200 countries, so make sure to bring your own country’s flag and be proud of who you are representing! A flag tied to a stick in the ground can also be used in the Dreamville campsite to help you find your way back to your tent.
2 – Sun Lotion
When you’re spending all day in the sun, it is very easy to get sunburnt. So bringing a bottle of sun lotion into the festival is always a good idea, where you can just top up as the day goes along.
3 – Comfortable Shoes
You’ll be walking/dancing/jumping all day long at Tomorrowland. Depending on where you set up your tent, it will take you roughly 20 minutes to walk from the campsite to the festival, and usually longer on the way back due to the large volumes of crowds all leaving at the same time. So make sure you’re wearing good, comfortable shoes. Bringing a second pair is also a good idea, even if you only use them for walking around the campsite.
4 – Reusable Water Bottle & Bottle Caps
There are Refresh Points set up around the festival and campsite where you can fill up your water bottles, which you will need to do to stay hydrated throughout the day. If you buy a bottled drink at the Marketplace inside the festival, the bottle caps will be removed prior to your purchase. Therefore if you want to save some of your drink for later, bring a couple of spare bottle caps that you can use.
5 – Earplugs
This is particularly for those who are camping, but I’ve also seen people using them inside the festival. As you can imagine, the campsite is lively all through the night, so when you do decide to get some well needed rest, earplugs are essential to get some uninteruppted sleep. Also, being exposed to loud music for 10 hours straight can seriously damage your ears, so it can also be a good idea to use them every few hours in the festival.
6 – Camera
Without doubt, you are going to have some memories of Tomorrowland that you will never want to forget. Everyone wants to share their experience with friends and family, so bring a high quality camera and capture some of the best moments from the festival.
7 – Tourch/Headlight
Fiddling about in your tent at night can be tricky to say the least, particular after a long day of partying. Having a handsfree headlight that you can attach to the ceiling of your tent will make thinga a lot easier.
8 – The Tomorrowland Newspaper & App
Copies of the Tomorrowland newspaper are distributed around the campsite each morning for free, whilst the smartphone app is also available for free on the App Store. You can use these to select your own personal timetable, and they also provide maps and other practical information that will be useful throughout the festival. The newspaper also makes for a cool souvenir.
9 – Towel and Toiletries
There are showers in the campsite and also wash stations where you can brush your teeth. So, as always, a towel, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. will certainly be needed.
10 – Your Best Mood
It won’t be difficult to get into the spirit of things at Tomorrowland. The atmosphere and energy from the crowd is simply incredible. Everyone feels a sense of privilege to be at this festival. So enjoy your time there and make the most of your few days. Try to visit every stage at least once, go on the ferris wheel, see everything that there is to see!
Yesterday is history, today is a gift, tomorrow is a mystery.
