It’s that time of year again, NCMF will be closing out the summer festival season in the Midwest in just two weeks. Thousands of people will be heading into the Chicago’s very own Union Park for the Summer’s last stand. However excited you might be, pre-event preparation is crucial. We are here to bring you a couple festival tips for this year’s event.

#1 Stay Hydrated

Rigid Audio Black Friday

This cannot be stressed enough, staying hydrated is crucial for your well being in the hot summer-y festival grounds. Two FREE water refill stations are located on the festival grounds: one is located behind the baseball diamond on Ashland and Washington Blvd and the other is located to the left of the stage next to the basketball courts. Each station has ten spigots so be sure to refill early & often!

#2 Eat!

Often times, in the midst of losing our minds to the music, we forget to eat. This may lead to a perceptible risk of having heat exhaustion or nausea. Eat Food! Keep your energy up by enjoying a bit to eat. We will have 20 vendors onsite with vegan and vegetarian options. We will also have your festival favorites: hotdogs, pizza, smoothies, funnel cake and more.

#3 Stay Safe

Remember, the medics are your friends! Locate the First Aid Tent first thing you get to the festival grounds.  The First Aid Tent is located behind the 708 Stage on the corner of Washington Ave. and Ashland Ave. Here nurses and EMTs will be able to help you with medical related issues. If you or a friend are not able to make it to the First Aid tent, find a security guard or go to the Information Booth and one of our staff members will make sure you or the injured person in your party receive medical attention.

Below is a list of things we encourage you to bring to the NCMF:

  • Camelbak
  • Earplugs
  • Fanny pack
  • Baby wipes
  • Portable charger
  • Sunscreen
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Sun glasses
  • Last but not least – positive vibes
