Dubai Plans To Host Annual EDM Conference

Dubai is a city known for its luxury shopping, ultra-modern architecture and an active nightlife scene. Through the lanes and by-lanes of the city, music permeates itself in more ways that one. From the Dubai Fountain which jets water and lights to choreographed beats and sounds, to the vibrant Dubai Music Week, the Arabian city is no stranger to the ubiquitous sounds of music.

To add to its booming international status, Dubai now plans to host an annual EDM conference courtesy Blue Leaf, a Dubai-based event company. Moulded through inspiration of Miami’s Winter Music Conference, this one will take place at the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai.

According to Digital Production Middle East:

“The conference will feature electronic music’s leading thinkers, artists, global brands and technology pioneers. Like the WMC, Dubai’s version will also be accompanied with a music festival occurring both days of the conference.”

The director of the project, Cory Gibbons, also shared his thoughts about the exciting development:

“With the flock of A-list DJs that regularly play the city’s superior clubs and venues, it is no wonder Dubai is steadily making its mark on the global dance music scene. As a leading business and entertainment destination, Dubai presents the perfect location for the region’s first electronic music festival.”
