Flosstradamus & NGHTMRE – Lighters Up

Trap fans rejoice, the collaboration you have been waiting for has arrived, Flosstradamus and NGHTMRE have finally released their much anticipated record “Lighters Up,” and it does not disappoint.  After hugely successful years from the two Trap gods, it was only a matter of time before we got a collaboration out of them.  Flosstradamus’ year started off with a bang playing at Coachella and they have continued to release hit after hit with records like “Prison Riot” with GTA and Lil’ Jon and also “MFU” with Valentino Khan.  The year 2015 has also seen NGHTMRE burst onto the scene becoming one of the Trap genre’s hottest producers.  His record “Street” has long been a favorite of ours and his most recent release with Boombox Cartel, “Aftershock,” was stellar as well.

In “Lighters Up,” the two sounds of NGHTMRE and Flosstradamus combine extremely well to create a hard-hitting record.  Featuring some heavy snares and synth work to open up the record, the record builds to a chopped up drop that will cause crowds to go into a ruckus.  While creating the record, the three producers “ended up stripping this song down to its rawest form,” and felt like “in the end, less equaled more.”  The record definitely succeeds because of this; they just let the heaviness of the beat do the talking.

“Lighters Up” is one of 11 tracks on their HDYNATION RADIO album.  The album is available now on iTunes and streaming on Spotify.
