Magic Wand feat. Emma Carn – Sunset (MauritZ Palmer Remix)

Belgian duo Magic Wand‘s tropical house track ‘Sunset‘ has been attracting major attention since it was released on Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike‘s Smash The House label earlier this year. Combining numerous layers of dreamy guitar rifts with Emma Carn’s delicate, ethereal vocals, the track has become somewhat of a tropical house anthem since its release, and makes for the perfect soundtrack for those late-night summer drives and road trips. And now the track has received an official remix from MauritZ Palmer, and the fellow Belgian does not disappoint, turning Magic Wand’s original into an atmospheric deep house track in impressive style.

The track itself is centred around the chords and pads which underpin Carn’s spine-tingling vocals throughout. The high plucks and guitar rifts that are introduced later in the track have tropical influences, and intertwine nicely with the lower basses, giving it a deeper and darker vibe than the original. This remix is a testament to MauritZ Palmer’s talented skills as a producers. Overall, this is a well produced track that perfectly combines electronic synths with acoustic instruments. And if this track is anything to go by, it doesn’t look like the sun will be setting on MauritZ Palmer’s burgeoning careers any time soon.
