Zedd releases documentary “True Colors”

The Grammy-Winning music artist Zedd has been teasing for quite some time about his own documentary “True Colors”. The film, produced by Susan Bonds and Alex Lieu, will showcase highlights from his career and fan interactions. The documentary will be premiered tomorrow, June 2nd at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, and will be part of LA Film Festival, which runs from June 1st until June 9th.

Some of the appearances in the movie include Zedd’s family members – brother Arkadi Zaslavski and father Igor Zaslavski, childhood friends, numerous fans, business colleagues and Interscope co-founder Jimmy Iovine, among others.

The documentary shares the name of his latest album, “True Colors” and will showcase some of the highlights in what went into the production of it. Part of the promotional campaign included themed games with fans, each with a different color, which also can be seen in the full-length feature.

The premiere will not be your regular cinema night, as it will include acoustic performances by Zedd himself, featuring special guests, who remain unnamed so far. Let’s remember the fact that some of the co-musicians in the album include Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan,  Jon Bellion, and recently the german producer teamed up with KeSha for a new version of “True Colors”. A Q&A session will also be hosted with the filmmakers, where fans can know more from the “behind the scenes”.

Tickets vary between 25-65$ and can be purchased here.
