The Chainsmokers and Halsey’s single “Closer” receives platinum certification

The Chainsmokers are certainly no strangers to accomplishing remarkable things within the music industry. With an array of chart-topping hits, the American duo has received a total of three platinum records. Beginning with their 2014 release “#Selfie”, they also achieved platinum certification for “Roses” and “Don’t Let Me Down” and now with the success of their latest single, The Chainsmokers add another feat to their already impressive résumé.

A little over a month ago, The Chainsmokers released their collaboration with electropop singer Halsey titled “Closer”, which has surely drawn a vast amount of support from fans. The track was able to top numerous music charts and hit the radio airwaves in multiple stations around the world. With its immense number of sales, The Chainsmokers have just revealed that “Closer” has reached platinum certification. The duo tweeted the announcement regarding their newest accolade and expressed their appreciation for their passionate fans.
