DJ Snake & Justin Bieber make the number one spot with “Let Me Love You”
Fresh off the heels of his debut studio album Encore, French DJ and producer William Grigahcine, known better as DJ Snake, rises to the top of one of the world’s most influential music charts with his hit collaboration with Justin Bieber. The 30 year old superstar is no newcomer to the charts, previously having hit releases on Interscope Records and Mad Decent such as “Lean On” and “Turn Down For What”, to name a few.
Earlier in August, Snake had debuted the Billboard charts at #1 on the Digital charts and #12 on the Hot 100 as one of the most influential summer anthems of the year. The dance-pop crossover track had been quickly gaining momentum until it finally reached its well-earned peak yesterday on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart as the number one song in the world; topping other hit-producing veterans such as The Chainsmokers with their hit song “Closer” and Calvin Harris with his brand new output “My Way”. This very achievement by the collaborating hotshots of the present Electronic Dance Music scene says a lot about the popularity that the track has gained over it’s close competitors on the Billboard Charts.
