Tomorrowland cancels its Brazilian edition for 2017
It has just been revealed that Tomorrowland Brasil has been cancelled next year following two successful editions of the festival. Due to the economic situation in Brasil, the decision has been taken to cancel the festival in 2017. However, it has been stated that the event will return in 2018 as normal. Having just announced that the original event, Tomorrowland Belgium, will expand to two weekends next year, the decision to cancel Tomorrowland Brasil certainly comes as a shock to fans.
Originally set in Belgium, Tomorrowland have been gradually expanding over the years, first with a festival in the US, TomorrowWorld, and secondly with the event in Brasil, which has been hugely popular. Tomorrowland is famed for it’s unique offering, giving fans an unforgettable experience in a fairytale land and providing an escape from the real world. Fans unite from across the globe to attend the world-renowned festival, with tickets being extremely hard to get hold of.
Through a statement, the organisers of Tomorrowland Brasil announced that the festival will not be taking place next year, but will return as normal in 2018. While this comes as a devastating shock to most fans, there is at least the promise of the festival’s return in 2018.
