Shapov has enjoyed a major elevation within electronic dance music this year. Producing a great haul of quality and teasing a number of promising ID’s in the process, his break away from the Russian duo of Hard Rock Sofa to create solo work is certainly paying dividend.

Producing guest mixes for the podcasts of Axwell and Tiesto, his biggest success of 2016 is of course his track with Axwell himself, ‘Belong’. Making fans wait over two years for its official release, the melodic core and emotive atmosphere gave a more human touch to the dance music composition. With other recent notable work including his mighty collaboration with M.E.G. & N.E.R.A.K titled ‘Everybody’, any new releases excite his adoring fan base.

Teasing his remix of Panic! At The Disco over the past few months in his performances, Shapov’s mashup of ‘Don’t Threaten Me with A Good Time’ demonstrates and highlights his talent and creativity within music in general. Heavily lying in the depths of the Electro sub-genre, the young Russian’s work rightfully caught the attention of Axtone Records once again.
