James Murphy teases LCD Soundsystem fans saying album will be done “soon”

LCD Soundsystem have been one of the most popular and successful bands in recent history. Their catalogue of hits include the legendary Daft Punk is playing at my house and the emotive All My Friends. Recently reforming after they had broken up in 2011, the group is back playing gigs and recording new material.

Their well-received reunion gigs have had fans calling for new material, and it looks as though their wishes will soon be granted after lead singer James Murphy confirmed that the follow up to their 2010 record This is Happening will be “done soon.” Throughout their reunion the group has been working hard to complete their fourth studio album and hopefully, it’ll be just as good as all those which came before.

It looks as though the group is taking things quite seriously too as they reportedly canceled a string of dates planned in Asia toward the end of last year so that they could focus on finishing the record. Confirming progress on the album in a Facebook live chat with fans, Murphy replied to an eager fan asking if it’ll be completed soon saying “Sure. Still working on it, but it’ll be done soon.” Of course, we can only expect it to be well worth the wait.
