Home Uncategorized Rita Ora teases collaboration with Marshmello

Rita Ora is no stranger to the EDM scene. She previously dated Scottish platinum-selling producer/DJ Calvin Harris and featured Sigma and the now-retired DJ Fresh on her debut album, “Ora”. Now Rita may soon be adding another name to her list of collaborators, after announcing on her Instagram that a collaboration with the “Alone” writer, Marshmello, could soon be on the cards.

Marshmello, who is fresh off his mesmerizing performance at Coachella a few days ago, may soon be able to add to his increasingly impressive resume. He took home the highest new entry award in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ’s in 2016, and won the “Best Use of Vocal” award at the 2017 Remix Awards for his remix of Anne Marie’s “Alarm”. His debut album “Joytime” peaked at No. 5 on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and featured Mexican/Canadian rapper Omar LinX on the album. Marshmello’s single “Alone” peaked at No. 9 on the US Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, and has racked up over 300 million views on his YouTube channel, making it the most successful Monstercat record to date. However, Marshmello isn’t the only one with some experience under his belt.

Rita Ora’s 2012 album “Ora” which went platinum in the UK, selling over 600,00 records, featured big names such as J. Cole, Tinie Tempah, will.i.am, and DJ Fresh. It also featured platinum selling records “How We Do (Party)” and “Hot Right Now”, shooting her into stardom.

Although nothing is concrete solid right now, fans can’t help but speculate what might be coming. With the caption “Coming soon…”, who knows what both artists have planned?
