It’s always nice to step back and take a look at the records that made their artists into international superstars, and in Swedish dance mogul Alesso‘s case, one of those records happens to be his remix of Keane‘s ‘Silenced By The Night’. Released exactly 5 ago, this progressive house gem may have slipped under the radar over the years, however it remains one of Alesso’s best pieces of work to date.

The spectacular rework features Alesso’s signature progressive touch, in a way you wouldn’t expect. The twinkling piano melodies combined with a unique set of Swedish progressive house chords were a match made in heaven with Keane’s soulful vocals, transforming the indie original into a floor-filling, euphoric crowd pleaser. The remix followed his international mainstream dance debut with Sebastian Ingrosso titled ‘Calling’, which was released in vocal form roughly a month before ‘Silenced By The Night’.

Alesso has of course, progressed since then, having released his debut artist album ‘Forever’ 2 years ago and achieving multiple hit records, including his worldwide hit collaborations with Calvin Harris, Tove Lo, and One Republic. The prolific Swede continues to keep his discography alive and well, albeit in a more modern style, with his latest two singles being ‘Falling’, and ‘Take My Breath Away’ with Dillon Francis.
