Ibiza in Focus – Summer 2017

Summer 2017 is almost upon us and like every year the White Isle has an abundance of choices for all dance music fans. With the very best picks carefully curated and crafted by some of the world’s best DJs and events, this sensational list is putting Ibiza and some of the best nights of summer 2017 into focus.

Abode: Announcing their return for a second consecutive season to the iconic Sankeys Ibiza, Abode takes up the legendary Sunday spot for a glorious 15-week residency. Famous for hosting their London terrace parties, the London-bred brand is set to take centre-stage with their impressive schedule. ANTS: The colony returns to their rightful home of Ushuaïa for an incredible 5th season. The ‘all things underground’ brand have a mammoth 20 date schedule set for their Saturday residency. Expect to be colonized and united as one, at the ANTS opening party which leads a prestigious line-up including Andrea Oliva, Steve Lawler, Patrick Topping, WaFF, Richy Ahmed, Nic Fanciulli, Groove Armada, HouseKeeping, Francisco, Allendes and Paul Rodriguez. Black Coffee – Hï Saturdays: Winner of ‘The Best Deep House DJ Award 2016’ and beginning his first residency this summer, Black Coffee is taking over Saturday’s at the Hï Ibiza club – formerly known as Space. The South African DJ and producer will defy convention as he brings you the true Afropolitan sounds, fresh with balance and beauty. [Saturdays at Hï Ibiza. 3 June – 30 September] Full line-up here.

Guy Gerber – Rumors: Known for looking to try the unorthodox, Guy Gerber’s Rumors has become one of the must-visit parties on the island. Promising a newly renovated set up for this years 2017 season, the event will stay in its home at Destino – Pacha’s luxury resort. With its new layout, the club will maximize the sunset setting among a stunning cliff-top the Talamanca-based hotel is known for. Ibiza Elrow: Needing no introduction, Elrow is back at the island once again with its fancy dress fanatics and everything inflatable. This season the thrilling party has revealed its change of home to the highly anticipated residency at Amnesia. With headline acts such as Matador, Eats Everything, WAZE & ODYSSEY and De La Swing, the event will bring the very best sounds of tech house to its confetti kingdom every Saturday. [Saturdays at Amnesia. 3 June – 30 – September] Full information here.

Jamie Jones – Paradise: Back in 2012, Jamie Jones and the Paradise team embarked on their first Ibiza resident journey. This season the party is back for its fifth installment and promises to be its biggest yet. Taking over DC10 on Wednesdays, Paradise is now one of the most important weekly parties on the white island and a fan favorite. Martin Solveig – My House: No stranger to Ibiza, Martin Solveig returns to Pacha on Wednesday nights with his event My House which sees an eye-catching 19 date residency. The DJ’s impeccable skills on the decks and ability to recruit brightest and best acts in dance music have clubbers flocking to the party with its house and future-house sound. Solveig’s line-up is still under wraps, but if it is anything to go by last year the event saw the likes of Don Diablo, Tchami, Diplo and The Magician to name a few. [Wednesdays at Pacha. 31 May – 4 October] Grab your tickets here.

Mosaic By Maceo Plex: The vanguard of electronic music smashed his debut season last summer and returns again for the 2017 season. Maceo Plex’s flagship party brings you an all new level of the underground on Tuesdays at Pacha. With a line-up that speaks for itself,  Ben Klock, Bicep, RØDHÅD, Joy Orbison, Chet Faker, Tale Of Us, Jon Hopkins, Moodymann and DJ Koze are just a highlighted array of artists that will be playing for one of the biggest parties on the island. [Tuesdays at Pacha. 30 May – 3 October] See the dates and tickets here.

Cafe Mambo: The iconic venue has been an integral element of Ibiza’s nightlife evolution. It is easy to see why Cafe Mambo has been awarded ‘Best Bar in Ibiza’ on many occasions. Launched back in 1994 the Ibiza landmark is best known for its jaw-dropping sunset, fine dining and hosting the world’s best artists. The line-up has not yet been announced but as always we can expect the very best from Cafe Mambo. [From 12 May 2017] For more information check here.
