Home Music Tech House Mamby on the Beach promises summer fun in Chicago

Tropical sunshine, beach cabanas, and your favorite musical artists—this isn’t the ill-fated Fyre Festival but Chicago‘s very own Mamby on the Beach, mounted the weekend of June 24-25 by promoter React Presents. Set on the beautiful Oakwood Beach in the city’s historic Oakland neighborhood, the views of Lake Michigan and the impressive skyline will take attendee’s breath away, as will the stacked lineup.

Headliners skew to electronica rock groups. MGMT will bring their blend of indie and electronica to the beach on Saturday, as well as Miike Snow, a trio containing Christian Karlsson of Galantis. Sunday’s headliners include Walk the Moon for pop music fun, and trio Cut Copy. A specially-branded stage courtesy of Mixmag will host amazing DJs from across EDM subgenres, including Sam Feldt, whose tropical and deep house is most apropos, in addition to Tchami and Justin Martin.

Rigid Audio Black Friday

Mamby’s ethos is one of cross-cultures, friendships new and old, and to “preserve and celebrate the rich history of Chicago while immersing concertgoers in the its unparalleled beauty and summertime sensations.” Chicago enjoys roughly 100 days of summer, and to capitalize on this short burst of tropical-esque warmth and sunshine, Mamby offers cabanas, and plenty of swimming, sand and sun for festival-goers—live fire performances, a braid bar, yoga, and even a water fight complete the revelry. Music, however, is the true raison d’être for Mamby, so much so that React Presents is offering a DJ slot to the winner of their competition.

Single day tickets and weekend passes are available now, as are payment plans and hotel accommodation packages.
