The summer season is almost upon us with the first of many festivals set to get underway drawing the thousands in attendance and uniting everyone through their love of music. With so many festivals across the calendar, it sure is a crossroads when deciding which festival to attend. However, this festival guide invites all to share a glance with some of the highlights you can expect to see over the 2017 season.

 

Southport Weekender Festival [10 June 2017]: hailed as ‘the world’s friendliest party’, the festival bid an emotional farewell to its 28-year running event series back in 2015. However, Southport Weekender’s long-awaited return makes its debut in the capital bringing with it some of the finest award winners and genre pioneers. DJ Jazzy Jeff, Eddie Fowlkes, Kerri Chandler, Roger Sanchez, Deetron and Tony Humphries are among the headliners. Parklife [10 – 11 June 2017]: Manchester’s Iconic music festival returns to Heaton Park with its impressive and diverse genre line-up. With only a few weeks until the weekend celebration begins this summers 2017 headliners feature the globally acclaimed Frank Ocean, Manchester’s four-piece 1975 and London Grammer. The musical talent does not end there as the line-up includes Above & Beyond, Two Door Cinema Club, The Martinez Brothers, George Ezra, Fatboy Slim, Stormzy, Eric Prydz and the great man himself Carl Cox. Made Festival [Saturday 29 July 2017]: Showcasing the best in live and electronic talent, Made festival is celebrated as Birmingham’s largest music event. Armed with their most diverse and exciting line-up to date, Made returns to the Digbeth Triangle for their fourth year with a truly memorable weekend. Line-up includes Chase & Status (Live), Chris Lorenzo, Sub Focus, My Nu Leng, Gorgon City, and Friction. Tickets on sale here.

SW4 [26 – 27 August 2017]: Taking over the August Bank Holiday in Clapham Common, London, South West Four conducts their 14th year showcasing the greatest talent to ever step foot on or off the planet. With unmatched arena hosts and state of the art production, the festival has increased sound levels. Hospitality In The Park [23 September 2017]: From the moment the Hospitality balloon rose of the city of London last year there was no camouflaging the hype. The worldwide independent drum and bass festival returns following the debut or their flagship festival summer last year. The line-up includes artists such as Benton, London Elektricity Big Band, Clipz, Audio, Black Sun Empire and Benny Ill. Expect a total of nine stages housing the innermost circle of the scene. The Social Festival [29 – 30 September 2017]: Nic Fanciulli’s festival brand returns for their fifth anniversary to Kent County Showground in Maidstone. The boutique house and techno festival are set for a weekend of international talent across four stages. Weekend tickets can be purchased right here.

World Club Dome [2 – 4 June 2017]: Settling in the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, Germany, World Club Dome transforms the biggest club in the world making it one of the biggest parties in Europe. The weekend is packed with some of the most famous DJs on the scene today including Martin Garrix, Marshmello, Steve Aoki, Hardwell, Sven Väth and German music duo Kollektiv Turmstrasse. Shipsomnia [14 – 18 June 2017]: Shipsomnia’s Tale of The Kraken will set sail embarking on a musical adventure on a Mediterranean round trip to Barcelona, Ibiza, and Sête. Shipsomania is more than a festival known for its themed parties, elaborate set designs, tailor-made excursions. Line-up highlights include Pendulum (DJ Set), Netsky, Technasia, and Mark Knight. A full day tailored to deliver the best 24 hours in Ibiza with hosts of 6 themed stages and parties. Labyrinth Open [8 – 11 July 2017]: Brand new and hitting this 2017 summer season, Labyrinth Open will launch its festival on the sun-drenched shores of the Adriatic Sea in OmiÅ¡, Croatia. Labyrinth Productions, the curators behind Extrema Festival and Belgian Labyrinth club promise to transform the beachfront into a boutique yet affordable creative hub. Andrea Oliva, Fur Coat, Mind Against, AudioFly, Raw District, Radio Slave, Dubfire, and Pan-Pot join the musically talented line-up. Elrow Friends & Family [15 July 2017]: Taking place on the beachfront location of Salou in Spain, the brand new European festival sees the Spanish brand throw their biggest party to date. The festival will cater to thousands of fans presenting their trademark playground conception on a grand scale with an all-encompassing explosion of fun and colour. The festival has yet to still confirm the line-up but one thing the confetti-kingdom promises is no expense spared for their brand’s latest milestone with surprises at every turn. SuncéBeat 8 [19 – 26 July 2017]: Found in Croatia’s resort site The Garden Tisno, the festival enters their eighth year backed by a wealth of musical experience and excellence. The festival comes from hits long-standing legacy created by its UK counterpart Southport Weekender. The week-long celebration is widely renowned for its feel good focus bringing the sounds of Soul, Hip Hop, Disco, and House music. Dennis Ferrer, Danny Krivit, Doc Martin, Henry Wu, Black Motion and Sam Divine are just a handful or artists you can feast your eyes upon over the course of the week. Dreambeach [10-15 August 2017]: Dreambeach promises a sun-filled haven where the party never stops as it celebrates its fifth anniversary on Beach Villaricos. The huge Spanish festival has a huge line-up of spectacular artists including Carl Cox, Nervo, and David Guetta. Also nestled among the line-up are duo Chase & Status (DJ Set & Rage), Matador (Live), Oliver Heldens, Don Diablo and American music producers The Martinez Brothers. Tickets can be found here.

The BPM Festival [14 – 17 September 2017]: BPM festival will head to Portugal for their very first time after a decade of acclaimed showcases in Mexico’s Playa Del Carmen. The festival will retain the same party format as its Mexican predecessor as it welcomes the discerning selection of DJ’s from the house and techno spectrum. BPM has now announced the first line-up announcement and it is nothing short of spectacular, with artists including Dubfire, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, Nicole Moudaber, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler and more. BPM tickets will go fast so grab yours here.

World Club Dome Korea [22 – 24 September 2017]: Located at the Incheon Munhak Stadium in Incheon, South Korea, the BigCityBeats World Club Dome is an expansive new creation of its now world-encompassing brand.
