Hardwell debuts new hardstyle track “Make the World Ours”
Hardwell premiered a new hardstyle track called ‘Make the World Ours‘ at this year’s Defqon.1 festival. Highly energetic, relentless, and synth-heavy, ‘Make the World Ours‘ encapsulates everything that defines the subgenre.
As big room house became passé, Hardwell transitioned into hardstyle to evolve his own sound as a producer. Therefore, his set at Defqon.1 was apropos, considering the festival focuses on hardstyle. Held yearly in the Netherlands, and now Australia and Chile, Defqon.1 caters to the hard versions of techno, trance and house music for 65,000 fans.
In a professionally-filmed video of the track, the incredible stage set and fluttering green lasers made for a breathtaking debut. Spoken work vocals proclaim something of a dance music creed with a dramatic flourish: ‘the destiny of mankind is to unite, not to divide.’
Hardwell is currently at work on the follow to his debut album United We Are; although ‘Make the World Ours‘ is hardstyle, the new albums is said to feature a future bass and trap style.
