Seven-piece boy-band BTS have joined forces with dance music stalwart Steve Aoki and American rapper/songwriter Desiigner for their upcoming remix of’ ‘MIC Drop’. The track is set to drop two days before the band perform live for the first time on American television at the American Music Awards. Taken from their Love Yourself: Her album, the hip-hop track infused with some infectious trap sounds has undergone a makeover at the hands of the Dim Mak head-honcho.
Dance producer Steve Aoki first teased the track several weeks back, while the Brooklyn born Desiigner dropped a few hints that he had worked with the boy-band over his social media platform Twitter. The rapper went on to further declare this upcoming collaboration with a tweet saying ‘MiiC DROP‘. This will not be the first time BTS have collaborated with an American artist. In the past the boys worked alongside The Chainsmokers, Andrew Taggart on their track ‘Best Of Me’ which also features from Love Yourself: Her.
Talking with Billboard in an interview, Steve Aoki praised the South Korean boy band as “geniuses and brand developers”.
If you have never heard of BTS you are sure too soon as the boy-bands fame grows in size across international waters. Their debut came back in 2013. Their track ‘MIC Drop’ brags about their success internationally and on the Billboard charts.
