Weekly Selections on Spotify (2nd February, 2018)

The new year has just begun and the music industry is livening up once again after a slow winter season. Some of our favourite artists are back on the circuit, dishing out singles and remixes with the capacity to top charts and rock festival crowds in the coming months. We’ve made the hunt easier for you through our Weekly Selections Spotify playlist; rounding up all the releases of the week from a variety of different dance music genres.

Let’s dive right in with Aussie wonder, Dirty South. The progessive house maestro has pulled it off yet again, releasing his studio album ‘XV‘. The album takes you through a wonderful journey of electronic and progressive house sounds, a total of 10 tracks included. Our pick – If It All Stops, a collaboration with ANIMA!.

In the remix department, Matisse & Sadko deliver a progressive house gem that takes us straight back to the golden era of EDM in 2012. The Russian powerhouse remix Axwell & Ingrosso‘s ‘Dreamer’, revamping the original with powerful synths and a melodic drop that’s set to be a crowd favourite. Funkerman also joins the fun with his take on the 1992 Format classic ‘Solid Session‘, the house legend cleans up the original to make it apt for todays’ day and age.

We also have some prodigies in the line up. Israeli duo, Teamworx are quickly climbing up the EDM ladder and now their new release with Sunstars is set to propel them even further. Playin’ Around is out now on Nicky Romero‘s Protocol Recordings imprint.
