The Chainsmokers dazzle Miami at the Ultra Mainstage
America’s most famous Electronic Music duo, The Chainsmokers wowed Miami in what was an emphatic set at Ultra Miami‘s Main-stage. Despite being known for their radio-friendly Pop tracks, the Grammy-nominated duo’s 60 minutes on the main-stage was anything but simply ‘pop’. Filled with Dubstep, Future Bass and Electro House, the duo put out a show to remember for fans and followers in attendance.
Squeezing in more than 30 songs in an hour, Taggart and Pall delivered a healthy blend of their karaoke-friendly Future Bass hits and dirty Dubstep beats, much to the crowd’s amusement. ‘Don’ Let Me Down‘, ‘Roses‘, and ‘Paris‘ all struck a chord with the crowd, however, it was their heartfelt live performance of ‘Closer‘ with Halsey that left fans in awe. While Taggart and Halsey delivered a lovely live duet, the surprising second Drum & Bass drop sent a wave of energy throughout Miami.
Moving away from their Future Bass records, The Chainsmokers went one step darker when they played hard-hitting tracks such as Carbin‘s ‘City Lights‘, ARCAZE‘s flip of Skrillex & MUST DIE!’s ‘VIP’s‘ [Gent & Jawns & Skrillex Remix], Kill The Noize‘s exhilarating ‘Like a B***h‘ remix and Jay Cosmic‘s ‘Ascend‘. The duo proved their worth with excellent song choice and were met with great reception from the crowd.
