With Ultra Miami 2018 coming to an end, we can safely say one of the highlight sets of the weekend was without a doubt Dj Snake‘s one. The Frenchmen is one of the best in the game at reading and firing up crowds, so since Miami is home to the largest Latin-American population in the U.S., bringing out J Balvin to perform “Mi Gente” turned out to be a killer move.

The 2017 summer anthem is still going strong as one of the most played tracks around the globe. It’s been streamed over 600 million times on Spotify alone, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. While the track has been remixed by many international DJs in styles that would seem more suitable for an Ultra Mainstage, Dj Snake decided to stay true to the original, and the crowd’s reaction proved that to be the right pick. This doesn’t come as a surprise, as the Paris native is well known for mixing together heavyweight bangers (opening for example with a track like “The Drop“) with more laid back and commercial hits which allow the crowd to sing along and experience diverse genres and influences. A true rollercoaster of highs and lows, which has become a trademark of the Frenchman and made him a favorite amongst the top DJs in the world.

As you can see from the video below, J Balvin also stayed on stage to also perform a second track (Nicky Jam x J Balvin – X) and danced along with the crowd in what seemed to be one of the most enjoyable moments of the night. Make sure to keep an eye out on Dj Snake’s youtube channel as most DJ’s have been uploading their full Ultra sets. In the meantime, you can check out the official tracklist of his set.
