Ukranian Singer/Producer Jackie Faraoui has delivered yet another spectacular Pop/Electronica record titled ‘Single Girls‘. Based in Greece, Faraoui writes and produces all her music and has built a respectable catalog of music over the past 2 months. Her latest single is a culmination of all her hard work.
The track opens with a lighthearted pluck synth and chords, before introducing a dark, brooding baseline. Drawing similarity with Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Stronger‘, Faraoui’ vocals enter the mix, joined by a solid kick drum and side-chained pluck bass. Eventually, subtle strings play in the background before transitioning to the intense pre-chorus. The second verse follows a similar formula to the first with the addition of bright hi-hats and claps. The dark bass and warmth from Faraoui’s vocals work well in tandem and compliment the lyrics of the track. The single’s simplicity gives the vocals – the track’s strongest asset – room to breathe and stand out in the mix.
Over the past 2 months, Faraoui has been building an impressive catalog of original tracks via SoundCloud. Despite her current small following, Faraoui has managed to gain respectable reception on her songs, with her most popular track, ‘Think About The Good Times‘ earning a bit more than 1 thousand plays.
