Relive Showtek’s massive return to Hardstyle during last years Knockout Circuz

Hardstyle is definitely making big waves over the last couple of months.  After rather being a sub-genre on its own, with a huge and passionate fanbase, the sound of Hardstyle has arrived in sets at big festivals around the world. Prominent examples of commercial DJs who put a spice of Hardstyle into their sets are Armin Van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Hardwell. The latter has even collaborated with Hardstyle producers like Dr Phunk and Atmozfears. We can even see the trend of people who stopped producing Hardstyle for more conventional sounds coming back to the scene. The most prominent was undoubtedly the return of Headhunterz. Other than Headi’s return, there was one other comeback that left Hardstyle enthusiasts in awe: The comeback of Showtek.

After the Dutch duo left Hardstyle behind to produce more typical EDM tracks like ‘How We Do’ or ‘Bad’ they made a massive return to the scene during last years Knockout Circuz in Sydney, Australia. On the 16th of December, every Hard music lover inside the venue went crazy about Showtek’s amazing comeback. However, everyone who hasn’t been able to be in Australia by that time did not have the chance to witness the pure amazingness of their gig. Luckily the now uploaded their massive 75 minutes set on Youtube, so everyone can relive the vibes of these classic Hardstyle legends once more. Showtek played tracks like ‘The Colour of The Harder Styles’ or ‘Get Loose’, to help fans reminisce about their glorious Hardstyle time.

There hasn’t been any news whether the return to Hardstyle was a one time only event or if we are going to see Showtek on Hardstyle’s biggest stages like Defqon or Qlimax on a regular basis again. For now, we have to be happy with the highly energetic set we got from Knockout Circuz. So fasten your seatbelt and enjoy Showteks massive set from last December!
