Steve Aoki & Vini Vici – Moshi Moshi feat. Mama Aoki

Riding the highly successful performance of their collaboration with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike on ‘The House of House‘, Psy-Trance DJs and production virtuoso duo of Vini Vici are set to be back on the charts with yet another high profile collaboration. Combining forces with American DJ, producer, entertainer and Dim Mak Records‘ head honcho Steve Aoki on their latest track ‘Moshi Moshi’, Vini Vici set off in a new direction as ‘Moshi Moshi’ sees them adopt new styles and switch up techniques to get the best out of their own sound. What makes the collaboration even more special – high profile, even for someone like Aoki – is that these two acts have collaborated with none other Steve Aoki’s mother, who features on a record for the first time with her Mama Aoki moniker.

Kicking off with funky, mechanical yet enthusing bass-work with the beats, ‘Moshi Moshi’ begins the proceedings in an abrupt style for a mainstream feature track. Breaking into an unmistakably sober Vini Vici drop, the track develops maturely to deliver an even more Psy-Trance influenced drop in the mid section of the track – taking the total to 2 stellar drops. Assisted by dial tone-like gimmicks, drag-n-drop bass, and a laid back beat-work, ‘Moshi Moshi’ develops a momentous build-up to deliver a thunderous drop in what could be called the 3rd and the most impressive drop of them all. Set to be featured by the Need For Speed franchise, ‘Moshi Moshi’ is a breath of fresh air amidst the present releases and carries a sense of novelty as Vini Vici and Steve Aoki explore their boundaries in this latest release.
