80Empire – Wherever I Go

Toronto-based duo 80Empire have dropped their newest funky Disco tune, ‘Wherever I Go‘. The talented pair began making music in their teens as creative visionaries behind a high school garage band. The dynamic duo combines the funk of their youth with emerging electronic dance vibes to offer soulful house sounds to listeners around the world. Their last release, a collaboration alongside Divine Brown titled ‘Love Alibi‘, amassed almost 600,000 plays on SoundCloud.

Drawing inspiration from Housse, Funk and Disco, the eclectic track oozes rhythm from in every beat. A plucky bass combined with a smooth male vocal rings throughout the verses, while gorgeous brass instruments combine with subtle pianos and a bass guitar make up the choruses, giving a track an authentic feel at the same time. A candidly unique track, the deep, smooth Jazz club-feel of the verses seamlessly transition to the choruses, which boast prominent House elements, without overshadowing the song’s Disco & Funk nature.

80Empire’s upcoming single ‘Wherever I Go’ aims to illustrate the ever-lasting connections between lovers and friends through a soulful, euphoric, feel-good anthem. Drawing on nostalgic vibes, the experimental House track inspires travelling to new places, meeting new faces and always keeping memories close to the heart.
