Collaborations are always an exciting prospect, as a combination of sounds, genres and ideas can bring a unique track to the scene. KSHMR‘s blend of Indian-inspired elements – coming from his family heritage – with his selection of big room, progressive house, and psy-trance formats have created some of electronic musics best known tracks over the past few years. MR.BLACK‘s heavy hitting big room vibes, and psy-trance influences – evident in his ‘WARRIORS‘ project alongside Skazi – have established his name within the electronic music community. Now, the pair have collaborated to create ‘Doonka‘, and it’s even better than could be imagined.

Having recently remixed KSHMR’s release ‘Strange Lands‘, MR.BLACK (Yaniv Biton) is quickly unveiling his unique sound to the world. With frequent releases on Hardwell’s label Revealed Recordings, plus releases through Musical Freedom, including a remix of Tiësto‘s track ‘BOOM‘, it was time for the next step up in the evolving career of the Israeli. Combining with American producer KSHMR (Niles Hollowell-Dhar), who is no stranger to electronic music listeners after huge releases and performances worldwide, the pair have created a big room banger thats destined for festival main stages this summer. The track consists of a snare-driven build up layered with horns and a looped vocal that leads towards the vigorous drop, hitting with the energy and power that would be expected from this pairing. The collaboration of KSHMR and MR.BLACK’s sounds is particularly prominent in the break of the track, with heavily influenced Indian sounds from KSHMR’s end and the unique psy-trance/big room vibes that MR.BLACK has become so well known for.

With the release of ‘Doonka’ coming on Dharma Worldwide, KSHMR’s official label, on 18th May, anticipation is growing by the day for this huge collaboration. The track has already been tried and tested by the pair, with KSHMR even playing it on the main stage at Ultra. The release is a powerful combination of both producers’ vast knowledge and skill, and brings an energetic big room vibe ready for the summer.
