Kygo reveals in a new interview that a collab with Alan Walker is in the works
Currently doing the rounds for their North American leg of the Kids In Love Tour, two of electronic dance music’s biggest names Kygo a.k.a Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll and Alan Walker a.k.a Alan Olav Walker have been taking the world by storm. With each having hundreds and thousands of fans around the world, record-breaking releases like Firestone for Kygo and Where Are You Now for Walker, this tour has locked in artists that are not scared of playing their own hits and genre-transcending music to the crowds.
While on this tour, the pair sat down for an interview with PAPER Mag and discussed everything from sacrificing artistic integrity to gain mass appeal and commercial success to technology takeover in the scene and their dream collaborations. But one that let slip caught the attention of the eagle-eyed fans, and that was the revelation that the two artists will be working on a collaboration together. When asked about dream collaborators, Alan Walker jokingly said that he would love to work with Kygo and he got a reply from a very flattered Kygo that the collaboration definitely will be happening.
The aforementioned artists are each known for the signature sounds so a collaboration between them would be something very fresh to the ears of their fans. While they are not strangers to collaborating themselves, this will be the pair’s first track together and a true gift to the industry.
