David Guetta, one of the most influential musicians behind the commercialization of electronic music, sat down in a recent interview with Billboard Radio China following his performance at Road to Ultra Hong Kong to talk about his likeness of coming back to Hong Kong, his most recent collaboration with Sia and some exciting upcoming news. Guetta opened with his thoughts on his second round in Hong Kong, as even the city gave the DJ a formal welcome via Twitter – Guetta’s response, “I am very happy to come back. It is a beautiful city and a great crowd,” but that’s not all that was on Guetta’s mind.

The superstar who is at the fringe of both the worlds of pop and the electronic music scene also opened up about his recent song and working relationship with Sia. The grammy nominated artist explained that his set was rather free form and his incorporation of ‘Flames‘ really helped with its sound – Guetta described the track use in his set saying, “It’s [just] so vibey, and the beat is really funky, and I like it a lot.” Guetta goes on to speak about his relationship with Sia as well saying, “She was always here for me…She is like a loyal friend, especially in this industry, they tend to forget people easily.” He even reflects back on the duo’s early days after their 2011 hit track ‘Titanium‘ exclaiming,

“‘Titanium‘ changed both our lives and has also changed probably dance music and pop music too…It is career-defining for the both of us.”

Following the discussion around Sia, is when the big news came around. Guetta announced the first time news that his next upcoming studio album will release after the summer.
