He has achieved just about everything in his career, from playing at the Olympic Games, to selling out arenas worldwide, and shipping millions of records. But for Dutch EDM legend Tiësto, there is one thing still left to accomplish; working with Kanye West. 

Following the former trance master’s recent performance at the Creamfields Steel Yard in London, the Musical Freedom label owner sat down with ABC News, who produced a 7-minute video feature on the legendary DJ. Examining a series of subjects in Tiësto’s career climb, including his wealth, and how he first discovered – and then mentored – Martin Garrix – Tiësto was also asked who he would most like to work with.

Despite saying that there were a number of artists who catch his eye, he was fairly assertive in replying that Kanye would be his #1 collaboration choice. Yeezy, the self-proclaimed ‘greatest rock star in the world’ dropped his brand-new albumYe‘ today, and Tiësto is not the first dance music DJ to express an interest in working with the hip-hop legend. Just last year, Swedish House Mafia producer Sebastian Ingrosso told journalists that Yeezus was his ultimate musical inspiration, and widely praised the innovative ideas that the rap pioneer has blessed the industry with.

Though Tiësto has previously made an edit of Kanye’s ‘I Love The Old Kanye’ track, which he premiered at EDC Las Vegas 2016 under the name ‘I Love The Old Tiësto’, the Dutch star has never officially collaborated with Kim Kardashian‘s outspoken husband. You can catch the full interview below:
