When Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, passed away earlier this year, Russian producer Arty announced his intention to make a track which would honour the memory of the Swede. Following Bergling’s death in April at a holiday resort in Oman, the entire EDM world has been in mourning, but now three months later, Arty has finally dropped the tribute track, appropriately naming the production ‘Tim.’
Honoured by DJs worldwide, with the likes of Hardwell, Steve Angello, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Don Diablo and Oliver Heldens all dropping Avicii classics in their Tomorrowland sets last weekend, the impact that Tim had on dance music was nothing short of mesmerising as he rose to the top of the ladder during his phenomenal career.
Arty’s new track is a progressive masterpiece which nods to early Tim work, utilising slick melodies and the kind of vibes found in early Avicii tracks like his Bob Sinclar remix, and his work on productions like ‘Seek Bromance.’
