Home Uncategorized Steve Angello and Matisse and Sadko’s mega hit “SLVR” turns 5 years old

SLVR” courtesy of Russian power duo Matisse & Sadko together with Swedish legend Steve Angello was a monumental release back in 2013. The track marked the 100th release for Size Records and it celebrated Size Records 10th anniversary. The fact this track went on to commemorate two incredible milestones is a testimony to its power, cunning style, and all around epic-ness. This progressive house stunner was, and still is a big song in the sets of many DJ’s and producers today.

Coming as one of the most hyped releases of 2013, “SLVR” was a hot and heavy staple in the set of Swedish House Mafia during their famous “One Last Tour” and was included in the sound track released after their breakup. The single was also huge as it made a massive appearance during Angello’s set during Size in the Park in September 2013 in New York City. Matisse & Sadko were already prominent producers during 2013 and had just delivered huge records like “trio” alongside Arty and releasing tracks on Refune Music and Armada Zouk.

The most iconic part of the whole track is undoubtedly the melody. It is sensational and captures the listener by storm as the chilling chords ring down in utter glory. The crowds reaction is always a true testimony to the tracks cult-like following. Russian progressive house excellence meets Swedish flare and production talent in one epic record.
