Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman’s iconic hit ‘ID2’ turns 4 years old

Back in 2014, Steve Angello’s Size Records was putting out some of their best records to date. One song in particular stands out from the rest and still garners regular attention and recognition today. Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman’s hit “ID2” is a progressive masterpiece of the highest order. “ID2” was originally different from the version we know today. The first few live cuts we heard of the record showed a much more rhythmic melody that was more situated around the beat. The version the duo settled with flows better over the percussion and is much more polished and refined. Vangelis & Wyman are known for their signature style which is characterized through elements like sharp saw tooth leads and tight compression. Back in 2014, “ID2” was super advanced and stood out from many of the progressive house songs in circulation.

The track is still played in their sets today and Steve Angello is known to make edits of it with different vocals.
