The collaborative force of NGHTMRE and SLANDER is undoubtably one not to be messed with. Calibre, quality, and plenty of punch radiates through their work, and after teasing ideas for a while, the artist pairing have finally revealed the first record to drop on their label Gud Vibrations. Blossoming from a single release of the same title, Gud Vibrations spiralled into a radio show, and now a record label. Track one has dropped, and with more energy and heat than you could possibly handle. Wavedash have landed on the label, and brought a ‘Deathwish‘ along with them.

Now, you should be warned that this probably isn’t something to listen to first time around with your parents in the car, as its high octane, heavily hypnotic approach is beyond anything you could imagine. Pairing up vocals with a rather interestingly soothing start to the track, things take a turn as the tempo appears to drop down. However, this is merely a trick on your ears, as the speed increases back up, as does the intensity of the track, before the drop slams down with plenty of power behind it. Though the build up is incredibly relaxed, and therapeutic almost, the same cannot be said for the drop.

Pre-emptive with a snare-driven build up, the drop fires in with sounds beyond description. Somewhat crazy, yet majorly well organised, the track carries so many components, and marvellously intertwines them to make something you could expect to be featured by the trap heavyweights that fill so many line-ups in the modern age. Blending incredible vocals from fknsyd along with this phenomenal back drop, the release is the perfect way to kick off the new venture for the two titans.

Go and check out the first release on NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s label Gud Vibrations from Wavedash, titled ‘Deathwish’.
