Calvin Harris iconic album ‘Motion’ turns 4 years old

Widely regarded as the King of EDM, few artist can boast as many hits as Calvin Harris. The Scottish DJ and producer, who started out as a scrawny teen producing bedroom electro, has since evolved into a bonafide global superstar, becoming a model for Calvin Klein, and the face of the Las Vegas club-world, where he holds an esteemed residency at Omnia in Caesar’s Palace.

Boasting more number #1 singles than any other artist of the 21st century thanks to anthems like ‘One Kiss’ and ‘Promises’, Calvin’s sizzling album ‘Motion’ was released on this day in 2014, now turning exactly 4 years old. Featuring collaborations with the likes of Alesso, John Newman, Big Sean, Gwen Stefani, and Ellie Goulding, Motion was packed with a truly stellar range of singles, including ‘Outside’, ‘Blame’, and ‘Under Control.’

Despite not quite hitting the same heights commercially as previous album ‘18 months’, Calvin’s ‘Motion’ is still widely considered as one of the Brit’s true masterpiece productions, and you can listen to the album in full below. Happy Birthday Motion!

Calvin Harris – Motion:

Making the switch over from an established career in sports journalism to the world of dance music in 2016, Jake Gable has cemented a spot as one of the industry's most in-demand names during his tenure to date. Working on highly successful press campaigns for the likes of Tiësto, MK, and many more during his time at one of London's most premiere PR outfits, Gable has also proved his hand as a skilled journalist, interviewing acts such as Oliver Heldens, Martin Solveig, NERVO, and many more at international events like EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, and Amsterdam Dance Event. Working tirelessly as the CEO & Founder of UK company The EVENT, Gable also doubles up as a tour manager, playlist curator, dance music influencer, and DJ, under his JK-GBL alias. Further adding strings to his bow as a freelance copywriter - where he has worked for numerous iconic artists such as Axwell, and labels, such as Third Party's Release Records - Gable is best known for producing two of the biggest editorials in We Rave You history; The first a breaking news story on Swedish House Mafia's return at Miami's Ultra Music Festival in 2018 (a world exclusive), and the second titled 'Avicii: The Truth...', an inquest into the EDM star's passing, published less than 24 hours after his death.
