New World Sound & Thomas Newson’s epic collaboration ‘Flute’ turns 5 years old
While there are exciting electronic releases dropping every single week, many love to look back on tracks from the past that made a huge impact during their time. One of the industry’s most iconic collaborations from 2013, ‘Flute‘ by Australian duo New World Sound and Dutch star Thomas Newson has just turned 5 years old.
Like its title suggests, ‘Flute’ is characterised by its melody, brought to life by a flute. The track was released during the prime of big room when producing a hit was all about creating a relentless energy and an earth-shattering drop. ‘Flute’ is the perfect mainstage anthem and makes just as much impact today as it did back in 2013 when it was officially released. Since 2013, Thomas Newson has continued to play a major role in the industry, having dropped a number of massive anthems including ‘Oh Babe‘, ‘The Worker‘ and ‘No More‘. Australian duo New World Sound have unfortunately taken a step back from the spotlight, having not released a track in two years. Their last track ‘Breathe‘ dropped in 2016 and the duo has been silent ever since.
