David Guetta

David Guetta plays a stellar set at The O2 Arena for Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball

As Christmas Eve inches closer, the mood for the festive period looks to be in the top gear with a flurry of events on the calender. But none compare to the big bash that is Capital FM’s annual Jingle Bell Ball. Held in the month of December, the concert features the crème de la crème of the global music scene. Since its nascent years, the concert has showcased the likes of Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, The Chainsmokers, Major Lazer among a myriad others for its 2 night event. For the 2018 edition which was held on 8th and 9th of December, the folks at Capital FM had revealed David Guetta and Little Mix as the headlining acts for the two nights respectively.

David Guetta, who landed to play just only his second show at the annually held concert – last having performed in 2015, looked right in the mood to dish out some stellar numbers for those in attendance. The Frenchman was set to close the opening night of the event and began the proceedings with one from his own production desk – his collaboration with fellow dance music star Martin Garrix and Dutch artist Brooks titled ‘Like I Do’. The rest of the perfomance featured some of Guetta’s old hits such as ‘Ain’t A Party‘ and ‘Sexy Bitch’ along with latest offerings like the remix for ‘Bum Bum Tam Tam‘. All in all, the performance wrapped up the first day of affairs at the Jingle Bell Ball and assuredly set the tone for the festive season yet to come.
